For the last six year, Novodai has had zero, yes zero, hazardous waste. Disposing of hazardous waste takes a special permit, and we simply do not dispose of such materials. 

We are able to avoid hazardous waste due to a few simple procedures and decisions. Typically, finish materials are the biggest culprints. We use 100-percent of all sealers and lacquers. We grade them and use the material before the pot-life or shelf-life expires. Most manufactuers have a two-part finish material and once mixed together, they have approximately 8 hours to use it or it needs to be disposed.

Yes, we pay approximately 30 percent more for our finish materials, but we do not end up paying the average $500 per 50-gallon drum for disposal or the direct labor associated with doing so. This is an area that we strongly believe needs to be considered if you want to make the claim that you are "Green," and we take great pride in our accomplishments.
